Abstract

It's jarring. It's uncomfortable. Feel a little discordant. And we know it's never going to be the same. This series has been designed for our community to share our tricks and techniques for getting back into a productive rhythm and maintaining a productive approach to our work. We find ourselves transitioning to remote working, dealing with a major economic downturn, and facing a historically low and uncertain price of oil.

THIRD SESSION: Getting in Tune

Build your communication skills. Toastmasters International has been established to build better speakers and to build leadership skills within their membership. For over 95 years they’ve had a step by step program to build better speaking ability so that great ideas can be heard. This session will provide a brief overview of the Toastmasters program and how you can continually improve your ability to collaborate. We’ll also spend significant time discussing unique considerations for communicating over different types of video sessions including conducting online training, interviews, team meetings, and brain storming sessions.

Our guest speakers will be Susan Cramer and Christina Kruis who have been leaders in the southern Alberta Toastmasters community.
