Abstract
Over the past decade there has been increasing interest in acquiring multicomponent data for reservoir characterization and monitoring, as well as in areas where traditional P-wave surveys struggle. This is an introduction to multicomponent data and overview of how it is processed. Will McCarthy is a Senior Processing Geophysicist with Absolute Imaging specializing in multicomponent processing.
