Abstract
In it's recent report 'Investigation of Observed Seismicity in the Horn River Basin', the British Columbia Oil & Gas Commission interpreted over 200, 1.0 – 3.0Mw seismic events, detected by operator deployed dense arrays, to be induced seismicity caused by fluid injection during hydraulic fracturing. This presentation will cover the locations, depths and timing of these events in relation to area hydraulic fracturing operations. Data availability, fault identification and the role of microseismic in the findings and recommendations of the report will be discussed.
