Abstract

The presentation will go through the humble beginings of seismic monitoring from the 2 stations deployed by NRCan in 1998 and 1999, through to the present 11 station regional array with complimentary, individual strong motion sensors. The presentation will run through the evolution of the regulatory oversight within NE BC focused on induced seismicity and the events that have led to the current framework.
